Visvesvaraya Space Centre (VSC) is planning to construct a 200 acre large rocket and space centre on Bangalore Chitradurga highway in Karnataka. This is perhaps the largest in India once completed. This centre will contain planes, rockets, spacecrafts and other exhibits of space sciences and technology. It is not just a museum but a huge education learning centre having all sorts of technology simulators, theatre complex for showing IMAX movies on Space and astronomy; having large conference rooms/ meeting halls to conduct seminars, workshops and host national events in Space technology. This centre is intended to be One stop place for study, work and research in space technologies and sciences in India.

About the centre.
- It's a museum of Space rockets, Planes and Spacecrafts
- It is modeled after US Space and Rocket centre at Huntsville Alabama USA.
- It contains displays of all sorts of Space technologies and applications including scaled models of spacecrafts or rockets of historic importance and full size models of various rockets, spacecrafts.
- These Spacecrafts and rockets are both Indian and foreign make.
- VSC will offer guided tours of these exhibits with all technical details to all visitors in including school children and adults.
- It will have a theatre complex to show movies on Space Technologies and astronomy.
- Education centre will offer courses on space technologies and sciences to students.
- It hosts a space camp for children in three categories. High School grade, 11+ grade and engineering students level. This is modeled after US Rocket and Space centre at Huntsville, AL, USA.
- It will have a research centre for development of Space technologies complementary to work done by Indian Space Agency ISRO. Graduate and Post graduate students can undertake their research projects at this centre.
- It will also have conference rooms, convention halls to host national and international space conventions and events.
- First and only non government and private institution to function as one stop place to study, work and research in space technologies and sciences in India for any private citizen of India
- First centre in India where private citizens can join to conduct research in space technologies. VSC will provide the basic facilities to start activities.
- VSC will also have an incubation centre for startup companies to explore newer business ideas.
